Buenos a mis amigos!
Today continued our performance tour with a touching experience at the Hospital Nacional de Ninos (The National Children's Hospital). The morning began like the others with a wonderful breakfast provided by "El Vesuvio" and we were able to sleep a little bit more! We had a late start, leaving for the hospital at 11:30am. The girls gathered their gift bags for the children and we began our day!
When we arrived at the hospital, there were already children and their parents waiting for us to perform. We were happily greeted by the hospital and they got us all set in our space to perform. It was a very touching experience, as we were able to interact with the children, spreading love and joy. We were all so happy to be able to give these children a "ray of hope" on their path to recovery. Below are some pictures of the hospital and our performance.

Following the performance at the Children's Hospital, we were able to go a close-by restaurant called "Nuestro Tierra". Many of us got a delicious lunch and we spent some time chatting and bonding. Another great experience!

When we finished up eating, we then walked over to El Mercado (the Market), where we were able to look through a ton of little places to buy souvenirs and things to remember Costa Rica. Every store you passed, you would see something unique and beautiful. It was hard to not stop and buy everything!

After spending about an hour in the market, we walked home and on our way got a great group shot at one of the local monuments in San Jose!

When we returned back to the hotel, we relaxed for about an hour and then made our way to "El Vesuvio" for some dinner. Tonight was different because they happened to be under staffed. So, eager to get immersed in the culture, Ms. Hawk and some students from SHS and St. Rose helped out Juan Carlos (the chef) cooking and serving for everyone! It was so much fun and Juan Carlos really appreciated it!!!

Overall, today was another really great day. So many memories and good times with friends and the Costa Rican people. Tomorrow we will wrap up our performances with our visit to Universidad Veritas. We have some awesome things planned for tomorrow, so check back soon!
Pura Vida!
